Standards of Excellence Introductory Workshop
This FSTML pre-conference option is a requirement for key Short-Term Mission personnel from organizations who are Provisional Members of the U.S. Standards of Excellence in Short-Term Mission (SOE).
The Standards Introductory Workshop (SIW) will
give organizational leaders an understanding of
how they can achieve all seven standards, and
show them how to form and manage peer review
teams.
This one day workshop will be interactive, using case studies and small group discussion. The training you will receive in MISTM Theory will help you proceed to Standards of Excellence Covenant Member status.
There will be a ton of good stuff and lots of fun as together we seek to help churches, agencies and schools achieve excellence in their short-term mission ministries!
Listening to God through Solitude, Prayer, and Community-One and Half Day Retreat
Retreat will begin 7:00 PM, Monday eve, October 15th and end at approximately 12:00 noon on Wed. Oct 17th
Roni Rega (FSTML Attendee) invites you to arrive before the FSTML Conference begins, to participate in a one and half day retreat. Roni will facilitate a time of seeking God in Solitude, combined with a time of Small Group sharing. The retreat is free. However, you will have the expenses for food and lodging for two additional day.
During our retreat time, we desire to position ourselves for listening to God. This spiritual practice will facilitate growth in listening to God, in discerning His voice, and ultimately growing spiritually.
Individuals will be invited to spend time in silence/solitude. To help individuals ease into the solitude practice, Roni will offer suggestions that will give individuals some structure and freedom to explore and engage in solitude.
After the solitude time, individuals will gather into groups of 3 or 4.
